Rain+Pretty Bow=Rainbow

Salam,
it has been raining for 3 days straight, it's cold but it's cosy.
We spent our weekend in the house, spending our little time together. It seems the rain just washes away any negativity, any stress and tension, and clear up the air.

SubhanAllah,
May it clear up when needed to be clear,
May God shower all of us, with His blessings...
Amen.

Budding : Opinions

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
salam,
I was thinking about the wisest people i met, not the phd with whollata alphabet behind it, the simple wise ones who had through so much and questions about life. There was some kind of awareness of a higher being. And then it always boils down to two, those who keeps condemning and preaching without action all the time and those who accepts every belief that man could have.

Once I met a man who walks on many earth, see a lot of pain, and grow so much in young age. He had to believe in no one but himself, and his parents was among those who againts him. At the time, it was not for ego, just for survival. And once he was aware where he was, he wasn't aware of himself. He is a healer for people, using the Holy words to cure one suffering. But behind close door, only to those that is closest, his rage was beyond imagine. Thought he had so much knowledge, I was suprised to find him this way. And one day, we met with our own opinion. He cursed and he rejects, and he cut me off from his life. How could a 'messenger' shun the messengee, when it was not his message to begin with?

Then i met a man who walks on many earth, see a lot of pain, and grow so much in a mature age. He chose not to believe in anyone including himself, and so everyone is against him. At the time it was not for ego, but for sanity. And once he was aware where he was, he was aware of himself. He knows he can't heal anyone, he only use acceptance to cure his own suffering. But behind close doors, only to those that is closest, his love is beyond imagine. Though he had so much knowledge, I was suprised to learn him this way. And one day, we met with our own opinion. He listens and he accepts, and he continue to share me in his life. How could a 'messenger' deny the messengee, when it was the Only message to begin with?

On Children By Khalil Gibran

Marianna, Kahlil's Sister
Marianna, Kahlil's Sister. Painting by Kahlil Gibran
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.
H notes:  Now being a parent, i see a new light in perspective on a child. It's a day to day ambition, a day to day achievement...Expectation may be the key of a lot of dissapointment, but I can only do but pray and hope that my step son, the little feet (and insyaAllah, many of our children to come) would grow up as a steady arrow and soar forward...May God guide me to be the best Bow i can be...Amen~

Hide:Seek

graphic: source painting by Lynet McDonald

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

I hide from the path of shame i walked before,
I seek for the light that guide me through,

I hide under the light so the shadow might not enter,
I seek the strength to stay away for the darkness,

I hide from those who seek for truth,
I seek for those who hide their suffering,

I hide from the ego and the pride that feeds the world,
I seek for the grace and mercy that fills my soul,

I hide beyond the realm of spaces,
I seek for infinite field that opens up to everything,

I hide from the world may it not catch me staring,
I seek for blindness from attachment,

Hide,
Seek,

I hide for the person i was once before,
I seek for the person that I am...
for the fact, that I am nothing
and I am everything
Have i found it then?

Marie Laforêt - Мon amour mon ami

Salam,
I'm jumping for joy (not literally-but i'm doing cartwheel inside) for my husband...he's taking me to KL for my craving although he hates travelling to the city, and the fact he hates city crowds. So, i'm singing this cute song for him for his endless attempts in making me happy... thank you sayang~!

Science & Faith: Sunlight & Ruby

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
salam,
It has only been what since i announced that i'm pregnant, and already i could feel that i should keep my excitement with this pregnancy on the down low. Look at my post, i should probably re-title my blog into 'blotch-spotted: baby on the way'. LOL. I would balance things out, and share my point of view of the 'world' once in a while, instead of the 'little's feet's' world. No worries, updates and progress would commence as usual (note: sarah, your demand is still considered..LOL).

The thing is, i hardly have issues anymore. Reason being : 1. me being pregnant requires me to be less stressful, tense in any way possible- having issues would definitely stress me out for answer which could mean hours and hours scrutinizing myself under books & on the computer. Usually, i would put myself on many shoes to understand an issue in as many perspective i could possibly find. But now, its more accepting (or rather 'you and your own way..' and me with mine). 2. I find it personally, life is simple (no worries: i'm rolling my eyes too with this statement) truth be told, of course easier said than facing it. I realised on most times, we tend to make things complicated for ourselves. Yes, true, we are blessed with great mind and good sense, why not use it. But on most time we tend to try to outwit everything just to prove that we 'know' better...just to survive our 'thinking' habit. Especially when it comes to spiritual belief.

Since i've announced my pregnancy, the list of what i can & cannot do, what i can & cannot eat seems to overwhelmed me more than any issues out there you can think of. Do not walk under a laundry line, Do not cross over a sleeping cat, Do not sleep at noon and other what have you's. My husband is a builder/carpenter, so when we heard that he have to avoid 'hammering and making holes', we both had to put a stop to all this superstitious scare, and try to put sense out of everything. At first, i'm ecstatic with the news, and after going through 'LIST' of taboo's, i became paranoid & anxious (yes, exactly...bad for the baby!). Why is it that culture and tradition belief in all these things? Evil spirits & Nature's course...Really? I'm a believer in 'subjective' things, but i like to think i'm a sensible person. As much as i am a person of faith (i believe in magic), I am as much of a person who also believe in science & logic. Impossible you say? I just believe in the system. Every course in our life have a cause and effect. Most effect happen by the power of God, which He had put in Order. Regardless, no leaves can fall without his permission. As much i belief there in other 'creatures' out there besides us, i also belief that God have more power over all things. As much as i believe in magic, i also belief in the mystery of God's power.

My point is, as much as my prayer to Him is for my child's health and growth, i do still believe in His system. I still believe that the only thing that could keep my pregnancy safe and the well being of my child, is how well i take care of myself throughout this pregnancy and how much faith i have for my Lord, that He the best Protector. Not any voodoo or superstitious. I believe that nature had its way of telling me what the baby need, and what my body need. All i need to do is listen and have faith in everything in do. InsyaAllah, i have nothing to worry about. Next time you hear someone starts the paranoia routine on superstitious, get you senses out there and use it. If no logical explaination supports the scare, then pray to God that He protects you from that Fear. I mean, i get it if i have to stay away from sushi & runny eggs because of the possible germs & virus that could transfer to the child...or i should avoid night bath because cold water could make me have a flu, just don't tell me not to take a bath at night fearing a demon would take over my child or sushi would make my child dumb as a fish. AstaghfirullahAlazim...May God protect me and my child throughout this whole period, from unnecessary fear.

Love Embryo by Rumi

When the time comes for the embryo to receive the spirit of life,at that time the sun begins to help. This embryo is brought into movement, for the sun quickens it with spirit.

From the other stars this embryo received only an impression, untill the sun shone upon i,How did it become connected with the shining sun in the womb?

By ways hidden from our senses, the way whereby gold is nourished, the way a common stone becomes a garnet and the ruby red,the way fruit is ripened and the way courage comes to one distraught with fear

Of All the Wonders

Graphic: Child Universe by Josephine Wall

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Among the great wonders that goes above the sky,
and below the mysterious ocean,
are high hope and imagination of human self,
and mysterios depth of a human heart.

Among the colours of the vast rainbows,
and the intricate detail of pattern in the sand,
lies the beauty of races scattered among each other,
and the beautiful order of human cycle

love generates love,
Love for self,
Love for Family,
Love for spouses,
Love for children,
Love for neighbors,
Love for mankind,
Love for love,

When Love beyond what eyes can see,
that somehow everything seems complicated,
Love then what you can see,
and see the details in the simplicity

Love will find its way to Love

Position in God's 'eyes'

The depiction of a christian priest; showing 'the sacred heart',
as their belief on the teaching of Jesus or known to us as one of our prophet

Isa Alahissalam,

"If someone wants to know what position he enjoys in the eyes of God, he has only to look at what place he gives to God (in his heart and life)"

ReCap: When i talk to You at night

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Its been told that its best to save your best prayer for the night,
when the earth is resting and the people are not busy,

Its like a baby crying to a mother at odd hours,
but made her mother smile under that sleepy eyes.
Its like talking to a Lover in a secret,
so you wouldnt be like the Madman of Layla.
Its like a closed private garden,
when you alone can enjoy the beauty of the flower.
Its like walking on a lonely road
when by day its exhausted by the weight.
Its like running on an endless field,
that you can finally run as fast as you can.

Although He listens all the time,
Its at night that world rest from its effort to make you love it.
At Night, You listen as He listens.
and you drop your love for the world, and remember when there's no One but Him

p/s: I posted this poem earlier in this blog because i woke up at 3.am wanting nothing but to write. Tonight, it happened again...SubhanAllah...

Pray

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

I had speak too much nothingness,
i act much of foolishness,
when i think i'm over myself,
when my head should do nothing but bow

I speak for nothing but hope now,
I seek for nothing but You now,
I pray for nothing but gratitude now,
fall my knees and bow

The energy is not the amount of sweat,
not the amount of effort,
not the amount of concentration,
but the amount of faith, the energy is my prayer

Passionate- too much heart
Ambitious-too much mind
Desire-Too much lust
Wanting-too much self

I pray for nothing but mercy,
mercy towards my own,
mercy towards others,
mercy for my body to not transgress it own

O Lord.

"I strike with chastisement whom I will, but my mercy embraces all things"
(Al Qur'an, 7: 156)

The Narcicyst featuring Shadia Mansour - "Hamdulillah" (Official Music Video)
Directed and Edited by Ridwan Adhami
Written by Yassin Alsalman and Shadia Mansour
Original Track produced by SandhiLL
Piano by Stefan Christoff
Additional production and arrangement by Doctor Dinar and The Narcicyst

To say 'Hamdulillah' is to be grateful for what one has.

The images of the past decades have cast a veil on our identity as a people. We, as international brothers and sisters, are now witness to injustice in real time. We watch our Wars in HD.

It is time for us to claim our faces back.

This video is a global collaborative effort by 10 photographers- from London to Lebanon, Cairo To Canada, Abu Dhabi to America- to create a portrait of the New Global Citizens. They are DJs, MCs, poets, architects, teachers, doctors, parents and children. Most of all they are people.

Thank you to everyone that was involved. We are blessed to have each other."

Lyrics:

Bismillah, like the feeling when I miss Falah,
then wish to God in clouds to lift us all
Hamdulilah,
wonder if Bibi can ever see me, and
if I back to Basrah will it ever receive me,
Bismillah,
homies that have the time to talk,
Now I wish to stars that angel find Nawaf.
Hamdulillah,
I stand awed at the strength of my sister
Kiss her and thank God our mission is planned for us.
Bismillah,
mamati inti hayati,
moms the best one, hold her close to heart like my left lung
Hamdulillah,
for the truth in a being as beaming the moon queen you blessed my future to be with
Bismillah,
for the souls anguish, love,
and the moment my brothers programmed these drums,
Hamdulillah,
We put the truth to the test, proof that we're blessed students of this music at best.

Bismillah,
Before I spit this bar, way Before Militants tried to split this law
Hamdulillah,
for every living day that we spend in the rays of the Shams,
why we praise the condemned...
Bismillah,
wish I could take it back and lift the harm, make a track erase the past that we miss and gone...
Hamdulillah,
He Spoke So Right we listening wrong living raw, more than a livid song Give it all
Bismillah,
So I don't rely on an image or Man made divisions for land slave prison fraud,
Hamdulillah,
Excuse Me, If I use it loosely, forget to bow down and pray, how proud are they?
Bismillah,
hope you hear the whispers lil nas which stance should i sway when betrayed by wiswases....
forever hope this lasts and we live classic....

Bismillah,
means to will in God's name, without the ball and the chain a slave falling to claim,
Bismillah,
will forever hold inner peace, Wicked streets cripple little being rippling through the middle east
Hamdulillah,
may God bless the dead and gone, forever strong a better song, breaking bitter bonds
Hamdulillah,
for this world, in this spot to this song with these words for hip-hop say
Bismilllah,
stay humble in rhymes in eyes that hate your hunger
its like a jungle sometimes it makes you wonder

I am right: Follow me!

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Why have we conditioned ourselves so much?
Do this, and we'll be in paradise!
Oh my lord, look how i had suffer...
I have done this, please give me paradise

Why do we conditioned ourselves with approval?
The people agree with me on this, we're people of paradise
Join our group that agrees in the name of Lord
We seek nothing but paradise

Why does the paradise becomes a condition in our faith?
Why have we put ourselves in heaven and hell?
Faith have become mixed in doubt,
depending on majority of vote, acceptance and support

At times, let me just be crazy, so my thought won't matter
Just let me be a wandering soul, like a leaf don't matter...
Label me what ever you want, see if i care
To you i am lost, it is okay, i was not searching for you

So many labels, so many views
who is right? who is wrong?
so many conditions we put ourselves,
so many...

You are wrong, you'll burn in hell,
I am right, follow me!

No, i don't need to follow anyone...
i follow myself to seek my own SELF

Let there be no where, let it be no end,
let my self fall, let me be alone
let me be wrong, let me be right,
let me find my own,
let me be with my Love,

I am not sure of the world anymore
i am not sure what is right,
i become a sceptic of knowledge,
everyone is claiming they are right

So, my compass is my faith
it seeks no paradise nor hell,
i don't care what is right anymore,
just as long i'm at peace.

Book Review: Top 5 Children's Book every adult should read

5. Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carrol
"Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!"

4. Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach

"Jonathan Livingston Seagull stands out from the other gulls in his flock. He doesn’t live to eat, but eats to live and pursue his one great passion: flight. But his search for soaring hights and perfect flight only alienates him from the other seagulls, and eventually he gets expelled from the flock just for daring to be different. That’s when the real journey begins.

Written by Richard Bach, who is known for his passion for flying and reflecting it through insightful metaphorical context in his writing."

3. Oh! The Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss

"Instead of reviewing this book, I will just give you a quote:

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.”

2. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
"There is a lesson in this little book and its simple yet powerful message will make a strong impact on any reader, young or old. It is a story of a rare and unique gift: the unconditional love. More controversially, this book provides a fitting commentary to the behavior of mankind towards nature in this day and age. Great food for thought."

1. The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupery

"One of the most famous works of children’s contemporary literature, this little gem of a book is full of invaluable insights into human psyche.

The Little Prince was first published in 1943, only a year before his creator’s airplane vanished without a trace over the Mediterranean Sea, during a reconnaissance mission. Today, more than a half century later, this wonderful fable of love, loneliness and search for meaning, continues to inspire children and people of all ages."

Come, come whoever you are

“Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow

a thousand times.
Come, yet again, come, come.”

—Jalaluddin Rumi, Persian Sufi mystic poet (1207-1273)

p/s: just to avoid any 'misunderstanding' if i stand in any sect, no. I am all those label and i am without label. I believe in God. Period.

Action speaks louder

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Salam everyone,

Malaysia and the world are facing a lot of media stir about Islam lately. In Malaysia for example, different races are clawing on each other and insulting each other. The Mosque issue in NY and etc. I have to say, although facebook encourage people to speak up, it does speaks in honesty. You see what is really going on, the true voices of the country. Fear, insecurity is covering some of our eyes...

here, as a sister...I would like to remind myself and my fellow sisters and brothers. No matter what the news is, what comes upon us...remember;

With all those stir in the media,

let us all remind each other that let us all citizen of Peace respond in patience.

Remind your brother and sister let our actions speaks louder than our words.

don't say nothing if you feel like retaliating. it's not worth it.

Our guidance asked us to speak Gracefully, not in profanities.

Keep your head high and don't be afraid.

We have Faith...We have Guidance

It's Promised a Victory.

So, BE GUIDED and be gentle.

Stand your ground and be humble.

We're people of peace, and we only speak goodness...

when our emotion slips, remind our human self.

don't loose ourselves and clawing each other,

remember we're on the same side.

we're citizen of Peace.

remember...

"And speak good to people."

(The Quran al-Baqarah 2:83)

Love+Peace,

H
