Thought Provoking Issue of The Day:
I didn't expect this entry from her delicious-pumpkin-licious-mother-to-be blog, which is such an amazing point of view: Life is a celebration, Not a competition. I love how she says, quote "My goal moving forward is to celebrate life with others and recognize God’s blessings in everyone’s lives — not just my own."-well said: http://www.thedailybalance.com/2010/10/26/life-is-a-celebration-not-a-competition/
Have you ever considered that we have long lost touch with our fitrah (natural senses) or to some our unconcious mind? Here is a great article about faith and mind: http://www.articlesbase.com/religion-articles/our-faith-does-get-tested-not-by-god-541559.html
We have our own psychic child who is the daughter of Pn Dalina the author of "How to Think Like Mahathir" Here are for my Malaysian reader (its in malay -you can google translate it, insyaAllah) http://psychicchild-warisah.blogspot.com/ all about child's unconcious mind still in the state of 'fitrah' which we adults had forgotten to get in touch with.

Malaysia News Update:
Over the weekend, i find this news as it first break, Our Prime Minister had allocated RM5Billion to erect 100-Storey MEGA tower in the heart of our Capital city, Kuala Lumpur. I was appalled, and going through my facebook i found out i was not the only one. I jumped on my country 'peace-demonstration' wagon and support with among my country people to go against the idea. here are somet of the coverage : http://www.malaysia-chronicle.com/2010/10/as-support-for-anti-mega-tower-swells.html and here's the facebook group which gathered close to 200,000 supporter who feels RM5 Billion could improve the health, education and wellfare of the poor, and also the mother nature of Malaysia: http://www.facebook.com/NoMegaTower. I still believe that this kind of MEGA project only leads to MEGA destruction

You should really try the non-bake brownies. make loads of em so you have more to press down. I roll them into balls instead and cover them with desicated coconut/crushed nuts. Its neater too...it is extra fudgy...i LOVE it.
I am so hungry now! Hehe, anything fudge has my attention, lol..
Thanks for the recipe link, I love learning and trying new recipes!
Do you know how to make good anchovy sambal for Nasi Lemak? OMG, if you do I am begging you to post a recipe for Nasi Lemak!!!! Hee! :)
P.S.
What is this mega tower going to be? Offices? A hotel? Is it going to create jobs for the people or attract foreign investments? I guess I wonder what their reasoning is to have it. Are they just spending money to show off that Malaysia is getting richer, or is there a good intention behind it?
Peace be upon you unsettled soul,
thank you for dropping by and i'm glad you find the link helpful. You love nasi lemak? really? yes, insyaAllah, i'll be glad to share some wicked nasi lemak recipe. My mum makes the best sambal ikan bilis (anchovy) for nasi lemak. I'm not even bias..hehehe...
The mega tower would consist of hotel, service apartment, office, malls the whole tower she-bangs- and yes, it does create jobs and attract foreign investment. The thing is, Kuala Lumpur is already congested, a although it is to generate the economy, truth is, It is very contradicting to the condition of the people. Sadly, our mentality is still way behind from the technology and the development of our country. Sabah and Sarawak (Borneo Island) development is rather slow, and it woul be much better if they would try to develop on that side of Malaysia. I'm not against development, i'm an architect, of course i support it. Its just that Malaysia can be invested in so many ways. Our agriculture had been abandoned or even sacrificed for the sake of city development, it is not looking healthy for the environment. That kind of Mega scale of a project in a city, would only mean mega destruction. Just imagine the polluted spoiled soil that would running into our water system. The list is endless, i mean look at Khalifah Ar Rasyidin (Umar Al Khatab) leadership, he made sure that the zakat (tax) are given to the poor and orphan first, untill that there is no one legible for it anymore, then the country is developed. I mean, there's no point of having a development forward country where the people is still having a backward mentality. Good mind improve development, where on contrary, could destroy a development.
p/s: and we're already proud with our petronas twin tower...I mean, it is still the tallest TWIN tower in the world... :)
Good points. My husband is from sandakan and we went there to visit family in 2008. I totally agree sandakan is so behind in development. There are people still living on the water with no sanitation/sewage systems and it breaks my heart. There are still people living in extreme poverty that live in shacks and get their food from the polluted rivers.
I agree 100%. I wish KL would pay more attention to Borneo island, but it seems even the citizens tend to forget how much it needs in terms of development.
I look forward to your Nasi Lemak recipe!
Yes, i absolutely know what you mean, my brother worked in Kota Kinabalu before he got married, and we visited him a few time. Its so contradicting the the condition in KL, like you said...it breaks my heart. and so to speak, there are many citizen especially KL people are very aware of the difference how many cities in the malaysia that is in need of development, but i'm not going to say the Government is doing a bad job, but at times they think we're blind/deaf/stupid enough to think what they are actually doing...
