Craving #2: Chili's BBQ Ranch Burger

Salam,
My first craving was a subway sandwich...which i begged my husband to drive me 40 minutes to KL. He groaned at first, and ignored me. I told myself when i first found out i was pregnant, that i would contain myself from being a whiny-needy-pushy pregger wife who'll drop on the floor and roll in tantrum to satisfy my craving. So when he ignored me, i let it go and take a big gulp of saliva down my throat. Then as we went to send some stuff at his friend's place, he suprised me by 'let's go and drive around' and end up in the city, I squeled! Since then, i've been having meat cravings...So far, i've been having 'small degree' craving which passed on rather easy if i didn't get my hands on them. But, this BBQ ranch burger never died down. It's been pounding on my head and keep sending me saliva wave behind my throat whenever i think about it. Funny thing is, my sister-in-law told me over the weekend that her friend told her that when a pregnant lady crave for sweets, they're having a girl. And those who crave for salty and meats, are having a boy. Which i couldn't put my hands on how true it can be, weird thing is...i keep craving for chocolates after every meal...thus..i still have mad craving for meat. So, baby gender is still a mystery. Truth is, as long as the baby is healthy is fine by me.

My head was picturing this almost around the clock, it's driving me crazy....

There's a funny thing that Arabs say, they say that when a pregnant woman craves something and don't get it it'll mark in the baby's eye or something..meaning that the baby will have a mark in its body that looks like the thing the mother craved while pregnant with it
The funny thing is it sometimes really happens, which is shocking to me becaue there's nothing in science that says it is anywhere near true
But seriously I know people who have strawberries, barbecue and other stuff as a mark in their bodies
My friend's mother was walking when she was pregnant with her,and a bat flew towards her and got stuck in her hair(she had very thick her) she was so scared and she kept running until it flew away
but now my friend who's 22 now,has a little black bat on her anchle
I swear to god,lol

LOL, really? well, at least if i didn't get it, my child might adorn something that looks like a burger...it wouldn't worry me too much...hahaha..although, malaysian have different superstition, they have if a pregnant lady didn't get through her craving, her child would be salivating throughout the childhood. You know, kids who drools a lot. I don't know how much truth in it...since there's SOOOO many superstitious out there related to craving. InsyaAllah, protections comes from God, my prayer is to him for my child's protection...not so much on the superstition.
I'm working on to get this burger...I have less than 8 months to get it over with, so...i'll be patient, a good practice for the baby...hold on okay little feet?

Rain, Amen on that. Thank you~

Sarah, InsyaAllah, by God's will...Wonderful family is in our prayer. Thank you for that. Amen on that too. He suprised me yesterday, so my burger craving is done and over with...Alhamdulillah. weird thing about craving is, the first bite was awesome..then its a downhill after..LOL. The burger in my head made the burger i ate yesterday had a big expectation to fill, which it failed miserably after the first bite..still it made me full the rest of the evening, i'm just thankful for that.
Lemang? really? we actually just had lemang last weekend. My sister in law was craving for duck rendang, well you can't have rendang without lemang right? so, i learned to make lemang last week thanx to my brother in law and his wife. Next time you're here, i'll 'try' and make you some okay? I'm thankful i don't have weird cravings...we were talking about porcupine meat, and my sister in law stopped his husband because she's about to have porcupine meat craving...not that's going to be a hard craving to get over with..LOL.
